2006 monte carlo ss vs 2004 Mach 1

I know the mach 1 is going to be faster from a dead stop through the quarter mile, but from 70 -140mph do you think the ss could at least catch it or maybe pull on it? I am asking because a buddy of mine wants to run my monte ss

mach1's (roughly)= a 4thgen ls1 f-body

do you think the monty would catch up to or pull on an ls1 'maro/ t/a?

mach 1

3470lbs curb weight
0-60 4.7sec.
1/4 mile - 13.2 @ 106.7

if the dude sucks at driving his car and you get a good launch you could have a chance. the edge goes to the mach 1 though stock vs. stock.

That's funny i have heard stock 1/4 as fast as 13.66 for the monte and gxp's

hahahaha i see your point but unless you have 31k i can borrow lol no mustang for me both of my cars cost a little over half that and i love them.

with a good driver and good conditions i'd say that it wouldn't be far fetched with a factory freak.

mach 1's don't come in autos. My guess is the mach 1 will have 2 bus lengths on the monte. The gears in those cars are pretty much worthless after 2nd gear.
