both the lightning and harley editions are good trucks had a lightning for two years here looking for one to build now. As for practical for winter if there is no snow both are good trucks but get any type of snow they are worse that an f body to drive in the snow harley a little less but still. The harleys are a little heavier being a for door also downgraded a little power wise to but good trucks. Also better have a fat wallet for gas and tires part of the reason I parted with my lightning best I ever managed on the highway was 14mpg and that was staying out of boost and was only getting about 12k out of a full set of tires.

Why no look at a trailblazer ss ls2 400hp and awd or a 4x4 silverado ss with the lq9 engine

Black- RIP S4 06Tbss
TBSS all the way I love mine! A really solid SUV, pulled a trailer full of stuff and had no problems. Int is nice if you get the suade, and with the navi I love this truck. But on the other hand I will never own a Ford so I am bias. Plus just based off looks the tbss just looks way more bad ass then a lightning or f150 imo.

yes in the snow there not the best to say the least NO weight over the back tires what so ever, the HD comes with less boost from the factory then the lightning but that can be fixed EZ, with some mods they are VERY fun trucks, the big down side are the rods there shit no other way to put it, with just some bolt on mods its very EZ to blow a hole threw the block, BTW never go WOT with the OD on b/c the trans has a 2 gear drop and thats to much stress for the rods, and make sure the ones you look at have the ford recall done to it, all in all there good everyday trucks

One of my best friends own a Harley Supercharged.
Extremely nice truck.
He has 80k on it and it has never given him any problems at all (never been back to the dealer for anything).
But like an earlier poster stated, gas and tires can get $$$$.

considering a 5000 pound truck against a 3500-3600 pound car yeah it will happen. But a simple pulley and chip will surprise you real quick
like stated above shine they are impressive why I'm looking at another one things like a upper lower pulley, heads, exhaust and tune will wake them up from the factory as usual they are extremely conservative what they put them out with.
exactly true on all blackbird has said also if you buy one winter driving is the worst you have to stay out of wot have a built motor do to forced induction and cold weather very easy to send a rod through the block stock a lightning has 14pounds and the harley has 9pounds of boost noticed during the winter picked up anywhere from 2-4 more pounds of boost.
Also gas must be a minimum of 91-93 octane due to detonation of the motor, if you want to run lower octane be repaired to rebuild the motor quite often.
