I took Seattle @ -2 1/2 (Houston), and New England @ +1 1/2 (Atlanta) for a few bucks.
What do you all think of those bets??

those are tough bets.....Atlanta is better than they played last week. They have some key injuries though which may help you out. Houston will probably lose to Seattle but it's not a given. They're one of those teams that I expect to start winning at some point in time.....an upset of Seattle would be a good place to start.

They're really tough bets - and both on the road. I'm really hoping Gronk is back this week - that will be a major benefit on my end.
I just really expect Seattle to win by 3 points. Seattle getting upset this week would not be a good place for me.

Lions WR Nate Burleson breaks arm in 1-car crash
The MIN vs PIT game has me wondering.....both suck, but MIN sucks less.Last edited by SMWS6TA; 09-24-2013 at 11:24 AM.

I would expect Seattle to thrash Houston but an argument can be made why they wouldn't. I still don't view Seattle as having an unstoppable offense. I think push comes to shove and Houston's D could keep Seattle from scoring a bunch of points. Houston would have to get their run game going and just grind it out with them. At the end of the day though I think you'll win that bet. The other game being in Atlanta doesn't mean shit.....Atlanta has proven time and again that they have zero home field advantage. Atlanta had the makings this year to be a pretty good team. 2 good WR's, a good TE, a decent free agent RB, and what should've been a pretty good D. They're suffering from Philadelphiaitis. They look good on paper but not so good on the field. Pats have started kinda slow for them but are still a 3-0 team who has Brady for a QB. Their WR's has been their weak point but between Brady and Belichick I think they'll pull it off.

Considering their games last year, St Louis is almost a dark horse to win this one tonight. It wouldn't shock me, especially with the 9ers playing like shit.

that was you last year it sucks when someone misses a weeks pick. I haven't done it yet but it's something I figure I'll mess up and do one of these times. I have missed a Thur. pick I believe but one game isn't shit....it's when you miss a whole group of early games or a whole week altogether. Going down 8-10 points on everyone is killer. I've had some picks this year to where I might as well have not picked....last week was brutal.....but fortunately in bizarro world they've been missed picks a lot of other people have missed also so I'm at least within the ballpark. My buddy that's in the league with us said in order to win the pick em this year you need a fucking time machine

I know, I got so screwed by the Yahoo cluster f#@k that wiped my picks. I was so pissed, I gave up for the rest of the season.
This yr I have a Yahoo reminder and another on my phone to make sure I make my picks by WED.
