I wouldn't be entirely upset if 2017 mirrored 2016 for us. Kids are all healthy and doing well in school and no major catastrophes for us. All in all a pretty good year here at the house. I do hope 2017 brings better deer hunting....that's about the only thing I would want to change.

I bought a new SS in 2016, so I'm good. More celebrity deaths than I'm used to, but those really don't directly affect me (or most any of us for that matter).

Also, got my new tag on Friday (Bush is my last name for those who didn't already know that)

I had a good 2016. Were there some tight times... a few but that tends to happen when your wife hasn't worked in 5 years and you have 3 kids. But really can't complain. That didn't stop us from multiple vacations, a good Christmas, some new toys etc. Wife started a decent stable job in August. Should aid in 2017 being even better.

Finally home. Went to sister in laws for the New Year. Had a good time. My daughter got to see snow, something she hasn't seen since she was 1. Grant it, it was a dusting but still nice for her to see in person and not on a tv.

Drive home was not fun. Get into to AL and have epic rain fall all the way home. Supposedly got 5-6.5" in a 24 hr period. That's a hell of a lot of rain for a non-hurricane related storm.


We rented an Audi Q5 for the trip. Damn thing has some great gas mileage. Made it 580 miles before I said let's not push it even though it had 60 left.

Haha, just checked and my order is "Out for delivery in Oak Creek WI". My dad's new stock and grip for his AR10 that I bought him because I'm tired of looking at the plain jane stock and grip that came with the gun. He's to much of a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of person to buy an aftermarket stock/grip unless they actually failed in some way.
