Help 2000 camaro 5340 pro shift lite auto meter

i follow all the step on this address.

1. FIRST time i connect the orange wire, I put it in on no#16 white wire. (just want to know if i mess up something in the car)

2. SECOND time i connect the orange wire. I put it in on no#10 white wire. (i turn on the car shift light is working. but if i rev to 3000rpm nothing happen)

red goes to ASR pink wire
black goes to the bolt under the glove compartment
green/orange goes to lower box no# 10 white wire.

wow stupid me. i called auto meter tech support all wiring is right. problem is the shift light is 8 cylinder, they told me switch to 4 cylinder and it works.
