This has honestly been the hardest part of the whole swap. Murphy has been a son of a b^%$& the last two weeks!

I know this thread has 2 mos since last post but is good material. Great thread/build, I am in the planning stage for my '92 Z28. I plan to probably stay with the automatic but will see what I will find, a 6 speed would be fun. I also want to keep air conditioning esp since my car is black and I live in the south. Your car is very nice fine show car. The bugs as you very well know are normal in any mod but keep us posted. How is it going?

Car seems to be running well, haven't had any major problems. I am hoping to update the rear to a 12 bolt over the winter along with getting new wheels & tires. It does need a good tune which I'll get after install of the new rear. As for now, I'm just cruising around and enjoying it.
I opted out of installing air just because I never used it since I bought the car 10 years ago.
Good luck with your build. There is a lot of great information over at www.thirdgen.org. I studied a number of other builds threads there for a few months before starting mine. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll help the best I can.

Well, the car made it through the summer without any issues and put away for the winter. My plans are to update the 10 bolt and also get new wheels and tires. Hopefully buying a used Moser 12bolt w/4.11's, 33 spline axles, eaton hd posi within the next few weeks. Found it for sale within a 2 hr. drive from here and for a great price. Also includes disc brakes, drive shaft, and torque arm. Although I was just ripping around the streets, the 10 bolt held up rather well.
As for the wheels, I'm thinking C5 Z06 replica wheels from oewheelsllc.com. 17x9.5 all 4. I would need to run a spacer in the front to fit these wheels. The rears will be fine once the 4th gen rear is in place. Just missed a set on ebay w/100mi on them for a fair price. No rush though still have all winter.

I'll update and post more pics once I make some purchases.

I noticed that your rear tires seem to spin quite a bit.

I agree, all that spinning was a good thing. It kept the rear together.

picked up the Moser 12 bolt last night. Was able to meet up with the seller in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shops in Harrisburg. Not only did it cut my drive in half, but I was also able to pick up a few things while there. Anyway, cleaned it up this morning and put a quick coat of paint on it. Still needs a 2nd or 3rd coat.

    Here is what I got:
    Moser 12 Bolt
    4.11's
    33 Spline Axles
    Eaton HD Posi
    SLP Adj. Torque Arm
    driveshaft
    Calipers/Rotors

No updates on the rear other than it collecting dust in the garage. Hopefully find some time this month or next to get it put in place. In the mean time, my newborn son has been getting all of my attention along with a bathroom remodel. Grayson was born 12-12-12 and will be my future co-pilot. The 12 bolt was strategically purchased a mere 5 days before he was born. Not sure if the purchase would have gone over so smoothly with the wife post baby.

Ordering the new wheels and tires within the next two months. C5 Z06 wheels with 275/40/17's. Not sure exactly what tires yet but leaning towards BFG KDW2's or Nittos.
    See ya this weekend!
