I ordered some 3" mandrel bends today from Summit. I've talked to a few people who have done this swap with headers and they all have made their own y-pipe. From what they have said, and what I have read, any other y pipe needs to be hacked up so much it is just easier to make one yourself. I ordered a couple 45* and 180* bends along with a turndown for my cutout. I also got a few pictures of other pipes that I will try to resemble as much as possible. Hopefully it won't be too difficult. I'm getting a new Tuned Port Injection emblem to replace the broken one that I removed from the bumper a few years ago. Trying to keep it stock looking from the outside. If it is parked with the hood down, no one will know until I turn the key. Surprise, its not a 305!

Managed to sneak the PCM under the dash tonight. I was really trying to avoid lengthening the wires by leaving it under the hood near the AC delete box, but it looked so out of place sitting there. I took the AC delete box out and drilled a hole under where the box sits. There was just enough slack to connect the computer. There was also enough room to wedge it high enough to put the panels back on.
    Looks a lot cleaner now!!

Good work. Certainly better hidden away like that.

Got the car over to my father's garage this afternoon. Going to start work on the y pipe and also subframe connectors. Also did some much needed spring cleaning to make room for the visitor. My car is back with its old roomates from 4 years ago.

That would make my dad jealous. He had a 68, but wrecked it.

Thanks to my brother for spending his day off in the garage, my exhaust and subframe connectors are now in the car. He was able to use some parts of the old Magnaflow Y along with one of the 3" 45* bends that I got from Summit. All that is left is to complete the wiring and she is ready for the road.

Hopefully getting the wiring completed this weekend. I just might have it done and detailed in time for the cruise night on the square in town next Friday and also the first show of the season at a local college on Sunday. I'll post some pics of the finished product!

Finished up the wiring yesterday and brought the car back to my house a few hours ago. Had a very difficult time getting the car into any gear while trying to get it on the trailer. After I got it home, I bled the clutch and it cleared things up. While researching what might have been the problem, some mentioned that after the install of the new clutch/master that it would need to be bled a few times after driving.
We tried to get the original oil press. gauge and water temp gauge to work, but that was a no go. So I ordered new auto meter gauges that I will put on the pillar. Also ordered a new radiator. The original was leaking near the upper hose. All should be here tomorrow or Wednesday and will hopefully be in by this weekend. Also need to clean up and loom the rest of the wiring on the drivers side that was completed yesterday. Although my speedometer won't be working anytime soon, I would at least like to get the tach working. I read a little but still need to research what to do. So far I found out that the #10 wire on the red PCM connector needs to be mated with the wire running to the tach in the dash. Hopefully it works!
