Got a couple small things done today. The stock lower shifter boot did not fit over the hole in the floor since I had to make it longer by about 2 inches. I didn't want to leave a small gap in the floor, so I cut a piece of sheet metal to close up the hole and use the stock boot. Not sure but I think others have used the 4th gen boot which may be a bit bigger. This only cost $5 so it was an easy fix. I also swapped out my upper shift boot for the one that came with the T56. The original had a tear in it. Looks much better now. The center console had a small red light near the window switches from an alarm system that was probably installed in the early 90's. Since there was a hole there, I put my switch for the electric cutout.

    ITS ALIVE!!!!!
Got the wiring mocked up for the time being and started the car!!! All I have to say is UNBELIEVABLE! Had a friend come over and do all of the wiring. He had it all figured out in less than 6 hours. Without him this would have never been close. It would have definetly been carbureted for sure! It is running extremely rich in the video due to not having a coolant temp sensor and IAT sensor. Frost tuned the computer earlier this week. I sent it out on Monday and got it Friday which was an awesome turnaround. Powersteering pump is leaking from somewhere, so that will need to be taken back off.

this is everything that is not needed. It will be trimmed back and the original computer will be removed. We kept it on the harness for the inital start up just in case something was missed.

Here is what is on the list of things to do:
    coolant temp sensor
    Extend MAF wire
    install IAT
    98 and up Diagnostic Port
    Oil Pressure switch
    Alternator plug
permanently connect all wires and loom
    figure out a y pipe
    weld in subframe connectors

The new PCM will be mounted on the passenger side near the ac delete box.

Congrats! Cannot believe how quickly you have completed this project -- you are making the rest of us look bad!

Thanks Jeff! Still a lot of tinkering to do yet. This build did go fairly quick, but I pretty much made it my life the past 3 months.

Not much of an update, but I started cleaning up and looming the wiring harness. Put in the coolant temp sensor, extended the maf wiring and placed the iat sensor under the elbow of the intake near the throttle body. Hopefully fix the power steering pump, the broken brake line and bleed the brakes. I fired it up just to make sure all of my connections were good and now with all of the sensors in and connected, it starts right up and runs awesome. Gotta get it off the jack stands and on the road. This warm weather is killing me!

I wish.... I'm going to trailer it to my brothers shop to put the subframe connectors and exhaust on. Then it will be good to go.

Here is the passenger side wiring cleaned up. Drivers side is still a bit of a mess. (not picture worthy)

I haven't had much to update about on the build lately. I got most of the wiring in place, along with the majority of the passenger side wires loomed. As for the drivers side, there is still a cluster of wires that need to find their permanent home. I'm waiting on my friend that did all of the wiring to stop up and button up all of those wires. In the mean time there hasn't been much to do. The car has been sitting in the garage for the last month. My brother and I replaced the line on the proportioning valve that broke off when dropping the new motor in. Brakes were bled and the car was finally dropped off of the jack stands for the first time since December. Made sure the trans was engaging and backed it out and down the driveway a few times. Felt good to get it out and wash it. Hopefully within the next week or two the wiring will be finished, then it is on to try and make a Y pipe.

Also forgot to mention that I had to make a cover for the cone that was placed below the battery holder on the drivers side of the car. The wheel well had a large hole in it that would allow rocks and water to get all over the cone. I ran to Lowes to see what I could find, and once I walked in the door I found a mixing trough for $4. Brought it home cut to match the space in the wheel well and painted to match. Almost looks like it belongs there.

Good to see it almost completed. If the friend falls through on the wiring, let me know. I likes wires.
