07 Chevy colorado 2.9 to ls1 swap
I'm in the very beginning stages of the swap.
I bought a 2007 Chevy colorado with a blown inline 4cycl 2.9 and I'm trying to buy an ls1 to swap into it.
My goals: ls1 with a stand alone ECU, open headers to start.
My final goals: open headers, canm'd, heads, stand alone ECU, 4" super scoops, dynasty long travel A arm kit, long travel leaf spring in the rear.
Can I do this?
I don't want to spend 10k on my engine for all this.
If I'm going to have to ill just buy a Turnkey racing engine for 10k

black- 2004 Pontiac GTO
try going over to the 355nation forum. I previously owned an 06 Colly and they are very helpful when it comes to anything on the Colorado or Canyon. I speak as a contributing member of that forum as far a Colorados go they are the experts.

Jetstream Metallic Blue- 1978 Trans Am LS1
I have no useful advice except living in California, this swap is going to be expensive/impossible to do. Check with your DMV for smog legal rules. You do not want to drop big bucks on something that you can't get to pass emissions ( unless it's a track truck). Good Luck.
