No rubbing of the hood for me.
Had the lid for 6 years now. Zero problems.

Aside from the giant 'SLP' logo on it....which I sanded off and painted gloss black.

I think that mine rubs alittle bit on my Mecham hood. Does not seem to always properly want to seal to the air box. I dont know if its the SLP lid or the SLP smooth bellows that cause my problem of not wanting to seal correctly.

I also sanded that nasty SLP sticker off of mine.

Mine fit perfect and no rubbing. Have had it for 2 years. First thing I bought for the car. And the ONLY SLP item that I will ever own.

I've had my slp lid for 8-9 years I think....something like that. I wish mine had the sticker so I could remove it. Mine is the SLP with raised molded letters. No rubbing...fits fine.

The lid I bought from KY Speed simply had the printed SLP logo (not raised). Just so happens that the stock "Ram Air" sticker covers it nicely and looks far better IMO.

I still have the secondary air system on the car and have to figure out how to secure the hose (without having it look like ass). The hose sort of sags towards the engine. I zip tied the hose to the wire harness, but it still isn't quite right.

To late but next time use a hairdryer to warm it up, worked the best for me.

Did the same and although it was still a bit difficult it did eventually pop right in. Still not real keen on the hose clamps and how they clocked and I did retain my stock bellows. Going to check out some different set ups at GM Carlisle to see what others have done.

Never had a problem with mine but i have the stock bellow on it right now. The smooth bellow seems to be the root of the problem IMO. I'll still get the smooth bellow but thats just my take on the hood rub issue.
