    magnaflow catback

wow, this is a real nice system. first off, the warranty is awesome, and the install was easy. fit and finish on the parts is beautiful, and now, lets get to the part that matters.....the sound

the volume while cruzing is whisper quiet, and almost comparable to stock levels. idle is a little louder, and engine braking provides a nice deep throaty tone, and a couple not too loud pops and crackles.

at WOT, the noise is perfect. not rapsy, and highpitched, but a low, deep rumble that reminds me of older musclecar. there is no drone at all....none....this is on my daily driver, and I see no cop pulling me over for a system this loud.

I am running it with stock cats, and manifolds, and hopefully, I will ditch the cat, for a little more volume, (or at least, hollow it out LOL)

I have nothing bad to say about the magnaflow catback, and would defienetly recommend this kit to any person that wants to retain a mellow rumble under cruising, and perfect sound under heavy acceleration.

+1 on the magnaflow. Got it on the ceta, with stock manifolds and cats, and sounds great. Cant wait to get rid of the blowmaster on the mrm and see what the magnaflow sounds like with lt's and ory.

Oh I beg to differ. Maybe top for that price range, but not the top cat-back.

    Everyone has their own opinions.

But I would take the Magnaflow over the GMMG, Borla, Corsa, etc....

I can't argue with that. MagnaFlow is no doubt a good system.

I see you've been to Finish Line Performance according to the license plate frame. I bought a set of Long-tube headers from them back in 2002. Excellent quality.

Why not honey comb taillights instead of the black out covers.

well, I personally am not a huge fan of the honeycombs, and like my tail lights, and since I am a young kid, I cant just drop $200, so I am gonna spray shade em.

yeah, I like the job they did, and as a bonus its about 10 minutes from my house, and just across the street from my work lol

Cool. I like the honeycombs as well as the blacked out taillights. I had them on my old T/A.

Too bad they stopped making their own headers. As far as header brands i've owned a more than a few, and those FLP 1-3/4" Long-tubes were the nicest set period. The interchangable flanged cats & straightpipes were a nice feature. Those suckers set me back over $1300 though

Well the 93-97 Magnaflow Catback don't hookup 96-97 Dual-cat Cars.

Is the 95s Single cat? I couldn't use the S-pipe in the package.

    The ls1 catback Don't have the S-pipe

Most '95 models were single-cat. A small portion of California cars received the dual-cat config.

If your going to hollow it at all you might as well gut it. I don't see any reason to leave anything behind.
