I personally love my purchase of the LM2. I had to saw off some of the old exhaust, but it took me probably about 45 minutes to an hour to install. (Did it at my buddies house.) But after you saw it off, the install of the LM2 is simple as hell, the only thing you really have to be careful about is the adjustments to make sure both sides look right, and ofcourse everything is tight. And at the end of it all, I think my car sounds nice as hell. Can't wait to see what it will sound like with the new SLP headers that are now out. If anyone has videos, i'd love to see.

Custom true duals with a pair of Magnaflow mufflers.

No rasp. Period.
My old SLP LM1 was 125% rasp.

To each their own.
I LOVED my LM1 when I was bone stock.
Hated it once I added longtubes. To the point I got rid of it.
I wouldn't trade my current set-up for anything. Duals that have a MEAN growl to them, but are tame.
Nothing like 520RWHP throught a true dual set-up that sounds damn near like a stock LS1 with a catback.

Haha, yeah I'll give it to you its a nice sleeper sound, but with a rumble. I can see most people wouldn't think it to have 520RWHP. Im stock, and people second guess messing with me though just due to my exhaust, haha. Your right, I might change my opinion of it later down the road when I get Long Tubes, we will see. Im going to get the SLP redesigns, put them on and compare. But currently im in love with the sound it produces right now.

LM1: the resonator is a 4" dia straight pipe (hollow inside)...
LM2: the resonator is a 4" dia pipe that is perforated inside to tone down the raw noise and drone that the LM1 supposedly makes giving the LM2 resonator as some say, a slightly more deeper and refined sound...
this is how i see the difference between the two:
LM1 is for men not scared of their car sounding mean, loud, and making kids cry. here is my car when i had the SLP LM1 catback on it. loved it!!!
LM2 is for pussies...

I loved the sound of the LM1 when all I had was gutted cats and cat-back. I even enjoyed the sound of it screaming and echoing off everything at the tap of the throttle when I had slp ory and pacesetter lt's. I have not yet heard a LM2 with lt's and ory yet, i'm sure it's slp's way of leaning more towards magnaflow but still with louder noise and less restriction or whatever. All good systems really. I just got a Magnaflow with my new ory and bigger headers and it's as quiet as stock it seems like. I might have to change it up to the LM2 but going to wait and see how loud or quiet it will be first with the new cam and other goodies. That's the reason I switched from my recent TD's to magnaflow is to not be too annoying and attract too much attention from cops and yet still have the loud noise when you want and deep rumble. It's a work in progress.
