front bumper

has anyone purchased a front bumper or fenders from ebay. what is the quality on them? is it a good buy or do you recommend another, if so where? i need to buy a front bumper and a pass. drive fender asap. any info. would be great.

check a local salvage yard, or part store. locally, i can get the bumper cover and the fender for 100 bucks. on ebay, you'll pay that in shipping. they may have to order it, i.e, it's new, not off a wrecked car, but you'll save that 100 bucks that you'll need to get it painted.

I bought a couple of cheap fenders off of ebay to replace the rusted/dented ones on my third gen and when I put them on the drivers side fit "okay" while the pass. side fit like total crap. I wouldn't recommend buying body parts off of ebay unless you're willing to lay down some major cash in the part itself along with the shipping. Do what sgt said and check your junkyards or go to a store.

Aftermarket body parts, especially the plastic fenders and bumpers NEVER fit like the GM parts.
