Exclamation Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels Edition is not kidding around

Filed under: Aftermarket, SEMA Show, Coupe, Performance, Chevrolet

Many a lifetime of car-love has started with a single Hot Wheels model. The diecast cars gave us early access to dreamy metal that we might not otherwise ever see, along with crazy versions of vehicles that we already knew and loved.

The brand offers a perfect fit for the likes of the Chevrolet Camaro, then, as the model's throwback-meets-modern looks and enthusiast driver-appeal already speak to the young at heart.

Red-accented, chunky five-spoke wheels set off this rather electrically blue paintjob (it's actually called Kinetic Blue, but you get the idea), and Hot Wheels badging completes the grownup-toy vibe. The best part is that, as we reported earlier, this Hot Wheels Camaro will be a model that you can actually buy, albeit for a hefty price. For being a "Hot Wheels" edition, there really isn't a whole lot to it. The blue color is nice, the SLP wheels have been out for a couple years now, and the ground effects are subtle. Maybe they just have extra parts they're trying to get rid of? But when I think of Hot Wheels edition, I think of bright and explosive.

I opened this fully expecting to see headers through the fenders and side pipes......anything less for a hot wheels edition is disappointing.
