Has anyone been able to get a hold of the expected specs on the '16? My first thought goes to what the curb weight might be on a V8 model. With the '15 Mustang GT weighing in at about 3,800 pounds, not even bothering to mention the Challenger, these cars are still a bit hefty. Chevy might get me as a customer if they can get sub 3,600 lbs.

I understand that safety and performance can weigh more, but the current state of dramatically heavier pony cars (Challenger, 5th Gen Camaro, 2016 Mustang) with less interior room (by 4th Gen F-body standards) is really off-putting, especially when they get past the $40-45K range, honestly, that's pretty close to our German friends' price range with similar performance (not that I really want one of those). These current gen cars are ecstatic to break 80,000 units each in a good sales year. Make a modern pony car be a pony car (not 3,800+ lbs) at a fair price point (which can be done now, assuming one doesn't go crazy on the options) and they would perform and sell much better.

That is why I've decided to instead purchase a used C5 Z. Or C6 than a overly heavy 2015 muscle car
