What would I need to forge to run low boost safely

Going to be finishing up a heads cam swap in the next few months, down the road I would like to run a blower or a small turbo...not looking to put down a 1000 rwhp or anything just a little more...what could I get away w/ forging rather then ripping apart and forging the whole block.

    Heads/Cam/Intake/Stall.

Personally, I would go ahead and do the shortblock since you have it apart, other than that I would run arp headbolts and rod/main bolts

I'm running 8psi on a stock bottom end with stock heads/cam and made 500rwhp with the D1SC.

Only thing I changed was valve springs and push rods. Also went with ARP.

I'm also running a FMIC and meth.

What heads/cam are you going with?
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

    I wouldn't forge anything personally.

I had & ran the same set up as Jon @ 8 psi without issue.

That cam will work plenty well with boost. I'd say as long as you're running a reasonably low boost level than you'll be fine. Typically from what I've seen, people pushing the limits on stock internals (12psi+) are those who have issues. Piston #8 is usually the first to go.

Yea when the time comes ill probably keep it around 7-8 psi...after this rd. of mods are done ill start saving for the blower and rear
