    agreed, but turbos can easily be set up horribly wrong. question - how long does it take a 600hp v6 turbo to spool? a pretty damn long time lol. still, i like turbos best if its not a dyno queen

    Umm that is not much of a factor the spool up time. Have several 4 bangers.I have a 600 hp 4 banger. There are tricks.Off the line in a standard trans car you I have two step stutter box feature in software that lets you build boost at line. And antilag if want even more boost. With antilag you can leave at plus 20psi if you want but usually you don't want as its too much for the tires.

    Now if you are in say third gear and you want instant boost you simply go to second. And my 650 turbo 4 banger 2.4 engine spools up full at around 3800 in third and you are already flying by about 3000 as boost starts coming on and it comes on very fast..the little four banger revs like a dirt bike.!

    Now that said still might be taking that turbo off and putting it on my full auto talon race car. Then go down one size so get full spool at 3000 and start at 2000 to give me broader powerband so don't always have to gear down and it is a bit laggier as you go up thru the gears if you don't use stutterbox or anitlag.

    Centrifical supers might not have lag but they also take awhile and rpm to build full boost.You can also gear down with them if you are in the higher gear to be able to do it.
    And autos and stalls work well with turbos too,very well. My 91 talon is auto race car. Autos are much more consistent as well..

    i just really like being able to tap the gas and get thrown back. i've driven a pretty fast turbo 4, and it was fun at speed .but a dog in town unless u really work the gas pedal watchin the boost before the light turns green, just an unneeded hassle in my eyes.

    btw anyone know how i could turbo a 200cc 4 stroke 1cyl engine? (carbed)

    But if it had to be between turbo and super, just because of how high gas is these days, I'll say turbo.
