    Thoughts on the Magnacharger

Hello I have a 06 stang , and thinking very seriously about the Magnacharger with a 9 lbs pulley, LT's and 3.73's.. How is is the reliability of the secondary shaft on the unit? Any body with experience with on one ; like to hear what you think of them.... Thanks...

I know their are better sc's , but I can get a killer price on the Maggie... If I had my rathers ... go with a F1.. Procharger with a forged lower end...

I've had my share of ls1 and LT1 cars... The question was just a general one to see how GM folks like the Maggie.. The mustang forums tell me that I should not waste my time on the Maggie, cause you are limited on the output of the unit.. For the price of a Vortech Non-Ic , I can get the Intercooled Magnacharger for 3850 with a stock 5-6 lbs pulley

$3850 for an intercooled supercharger setup??

That sounds like a hard deal to beat.

Thats what I thought too.. the vendor is Hotpart... even if I buy the BAP and the smaller pulley ; I am still under 4200... I would be happy with just a solid 11 sec pass...

Do it. What does anyone need an F1 for unless they are drag racing? I would maggie my car and ditch the procharger if it would fit.

The Maggie has proved itself for dependability in the GM crowd, as I know nothing about the Ford folks. I have noticed on the newer Maggies the secondary shaft is now carbon fiber and looks killer. You can certainly get a larger blower but nothing any more dependable as a maggie. Frankly, nothing and I mean nothing looks as good as a polished Maggie sittin on top. It's has that oldschool look!

I'd take the Maggie over the centrifugal superchargers since it reaches full boost at 2000 RPM while you must wait for the centrifugal ones to 'spool up' much higher for full boost. This makes for better driving on the street IMHO.

I would hope this forum would be full of mature people, Wether they are trying to work on a ls1, or a 5.0 mustang.... Never know, maybe the people on his mustang forums are like the idiots on our corvette forums, imo. lol.
