You don't change a K&N filter, you wash it from the inside out with soap and water. Then you re-oil it and put it back on.

Pull the oil cap off with the oil return line still attached....you'll have to take it off first....but once you have it off and the oil line hooked back up start the car and see how much oil is returning.....you should see a good bit....Also, I can't stress this enough....but make sure the return line is run OVER the axles.....this prevents oil from returning to the oil.....if you checked the check valve and it's not hung open then it's a return problem........how much oil are we talking here?????

I have run K&Ns for over 30 years (on motorcycles) and I have never seen one that can't be cleaned with consistent applications of soap and water. Just my two cents worth.
If the ribs are messed up, look for places that have broken through. If it has, replace it.

Also, I'd look at tapping the cylinder head with an AN fitting and putting the oil return line on that.....Ive never liked that oil return line sitting right on top of the rockers.......when you get the bug to turn the boost up....and you will......I've found that it likes to come out the bottom of the cap........
