The oil isn't getting out of the turbo fast enough. You can go to the oil pump on the back and right beside it there's a pressure switch. It's set to like 3psi from STS but if you take an allen wrench and turn it all the way down and then give it a half a turn back you'll turn it into a 5 psi switch. It should get the oil out quicker. Also, make sure you have the return hose routed OVER the rear axles.

How many miles do you have on the turbo ? You may be pushing oil past the seals ?

i can get a regular t3/t4 redbuild kit for like 100, cant u get another turbo off ebay or sumthing?

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. There are no "magic seals" inside the turbo. A turbo has a loose fitting shaft that is supported by two bearings.....The problem with the STS systems is that sometimes the oil doesn't get evacuated fast enough and it overflows the bearings. I told you to take a look at the switch beside the pump itself. I almost bet there is nothing wrong with your turbo. If you just take an allen wrench and carefully turn the screw all the way down and then back it off by half a turn I bet this would take care of your problem. Is the oil line run over the axles?? If it's not that is your problem. Before you go and waste your money on a rebuild kit or another turbo try this out.....

the oil is returning, about the oil pressure back t the engine, how will it affect it now, kit has been on for months and now its just having this problem, shouldnt that of been a problem since it was just installed or can it change?

do you just notice it after you've run the car???? or is it coming out when you drive??? It it's happening after you run it and then it sits for a little while then you could have a bad check valve on the oil line to the turbo......it's allowing the oil to seep inside the turbo.....
07-21-2006, 01:06 PM #17
i had a bad check valve before and then it loads up oil in the turbo and i can tell, also if feeds the oil back into the engine but the lines goin back to motor is clean, seems to be leaking after leaves turbo

Is the buzzer going off? Is the pump comming on? You can also test your power to your check valve.

the pump is comming on and oil is returning to the engine
