bigger injecotrs would be good as well as a tune is a must..also scrap the sts turbo and get a great turbo elsewhere

If your gonna put a turbo on a engine that is not made for turbos make sure you get a good fuel system and a great tune. Dont be a DSMer and put a turbo on and call it a day, your engine will call it a day a couple hours later.

Yeah but the thing is that i don't really look for huge Hp gains and i would be great that if must i would be able to take that kit out and also price is so much lower than anything else cus the basic kit is around 3800$ and you can't get much for this much the only other thing is i would have to rebuild my rear end cuz of the high milleage and i was thinking on going with 3.73 gears

3800 woud also get you a nice set of heads and a cam upgrade. Which would put out 410-440whp, Clsoe to the same as the turbo option but more reliable IMO.

+1 on that, I wouldnt go with a turbo if the car is stock, I would do heads and cam, and in your case an intake to.

asked the FI folks here about sts turbos..also dont be fooled by the price of the units...there is thousands more that should go into the car on top of the turbo...you have fueling and tuning etc FI is expensive

If your going with forced induction you will not need gears is it an auto o Manuel? I would say 3.23 would e plenty gear. And I agree not a big fan of the STS turbo haven't heard a whole lot of good from them

You better check your undercarriage. You may have one of those little freaks stuck in there.

It only LOOKS cheap from your end right now... all of the crap it doesn't come with will cost you a pretty penny.

There are much better FI solutions out there; I would take the advice that had already been given in this thread.

if you have your mind set on a bolt on turbo system for you f-body I would sugest APS turbo system they make a twin under the hood kit that come's with every thing you need ( inclueing injector's and a tuner ) but would recomend taking and getting it tuned on a dyno over the little hand held that come's with the kit.

as far a STS go's don't waste your money they are good kit's but the first time you hit a bump to hard it's gone... plus if it's a daily drivin car you run the risk of flooding the engine out if the road's are wet. and no it doesn't have to be raining the filter catch's all the water that your D/S rear wheel pick's up.

the down side is the APS kit run's about $7500 buck's....
but eather way you can get the same power from a good cam and some head work. for less than half of what the STS kit cost's..
