Questions about Buying STS Turbo
I just got a 2001 Trans am Ws6 with 24,000 miles on it and I wanna get to about 450RWHP. I just have a high flow air intake right now. How much boost can I safely run on the STS system? Would I have to upgrade the injectors? I am new here so be easy on me......

Well 7 lbs is what most ppl go up to with a stock motor. And with any FI u want to upgrade the fuel injectors. So yea ull want to upgrade.

Do some research before buying an STS turbo there are better ways to make 450hp.

I paid 14k for mine late last year during summer/fall transition..but it also has a bit of rear driver side bumper damage and front driver door panel has a bit of a crack when it got hit. So he took off a few grand off price. It's pretty minor damage...the rest of the car is in great shape...and most importantly really low mileage. Mine is also an M6/t-tops. It's not a horrible price for the miles as long as the rest of the car is in good shape. GL with the car if you get it...I love mine.

Nothing wrong with going turbo it's the STS kit. I thought about it myself but after researching and hearing about the issues people were having I nixed it. If I were going to do FI it would be a custom turbo kit or a procharger.
I'm not sure what the emissions laws are like in your area but we can get away with LTs here as long as we keep the cats.

I personally would look at a front mount turbo or a Procharger. I've heard too many negative things about the STS kit.

They seem to work fine and there are a lot of fast cars running them.

if it between a procharger and a STS kit..... procharger wins hands down. Front mount takes the lead over both though.

Prochargers are nasty. But dont expect to sneak up on anyone with one. We have a Mustang at the shop now with a P1SC on it and at idle the thing just sits there and whistles.
