    question about programmer ?

I Just got a Vortech V-9 G-trim Charger for my SS. However, I didn't get the entire kit. I went to a local shop and they are getting me the base kit for the car. Along with that they said I need 38lb injectors, fuel pump, and a programmer. I'm planning on changing the injectors and the furl pump, but do I need a programmer if I'm getting a Dyno-Tune ?

I would say to stay away from the handheld programmer and stick with the dyno tune. You say you are going for a dyno tune just make sure the person doing the tuning has the equipment to do it. Ie Hp-Tuners, Ls1 edit, ect. And is not required to supply it. Most good tuners don't work that way, though.

As for the pump and injectors they are a must! I would go with at least 42# vs 38#,s. Give you a bit to grow with.

I have that kit on my car also. If you are going to get a dyno tune right away dont worry about the programmer. You do need the fuel pump an injectors. I have the 38# in my car an they are plenty of fuel. If you decide you need the programmer I have one for your car if it is a M6. If you can find a shop that uses HP tuners that is the way to go that is best on the market today.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the handheld programer. Get the dyno tune and save yourself alot of headaches.
