Question about PCV Valve on Turbo Setup

I have a 1998 LS1 in my sandcar and have recently turbocharged it.

Because i use it primarily in the sand and having heard there was a chance of blowing out the dipstick and sand getting in the engine I decided to re-do my PCV system.

I now have a catch can with a filter on it.

My question is do i still need to use the check valve inline? there are 3 different lines for the PCV running in to the catch can so if i should use the check valve do i need one for each line?

Thanks I appreciate any help i can get

    Dan

You need the check valve. when in boost it'll be forcing air back in without the check valve.

I run breathers on my motor, no pcv. If you are blowing out the dipstick under boost, it's time for some new rings

I can blow a dipstick out with boost and excellent rings...some blowby is inevitable. Not blocking positive pressure with a pcv will cause pressure in your crankcase...how is this good?

I guess technically it has no PCV. I no longer connect to the manifold it just runs from the heads to the catch can which has a breather on it.

I just am not sure if there is a problem with not running a check valve in the line. from the other setups i have seen it doesnt appear as if they use a check valve, i just want to make sure.

you wouldn't need a check valve the way you have it...just make sure the catch can is vented
