    Unhappy A problem after boosting

Hey guys... i just put a sts turbo kit on my car and i was driving it a few days to make sure that everything was good before i get it tuned.(lots of oil problems that just fixed) im at 5# and i was on it kinda hard and saw a burst of smoke from under the hood and the car turned off. i looked under and found the dipstick pushed out and oil all under the hood.(smoke came from the oil hitting the headers. the car turnes over but dies at idle but runs ok if i give it some gas but still dies at idle. i hooked up a vaccum gauge and at 2000 rpm it looks ok at 18 in vac with no movement. i havent started to tear it apart but where do i start????

Well, I think you're going to find you are going to be rebuilding the motor.....you should never get on it until you tune it.....probably had some good detonation going on because of it being lean......but a tear down is now in order...check your antifreeze and see if you have any oil in it also...

    Talking check it out

well my 2cents, when the oil blew out some of the oil could have blown into the relay box, and maybe that's why it won't idle, and the smoke well that is just smoke from a hot exhaust pipes and oil. Before you start tearing everything down, do a compression check and a leak down to every piston and write all the numbers down for each cylinder. If everything checks out TOW your or mail your computer to a Tunner in your area. I believe it's ok, especially if it still runs good when you give it gas.

This is what happens when you have a cracked ringland on the side of a piston. This happened from making boost on your stock tune.
