Powerdyne Supercharger

Has anyone used this supercharger in an LT1? My cousin has one in his car. His problem started when he added the supercharger. When he is driving, whether hard or daily driving, he said that his crankcase builds up pressure and blows off through the PVC valve in the valve cover. Has anyone encountered a problem like this before?

When I had my Powerdyne it was the worst investment I ever did for my Z28. I know someone who is making good power on the LT1 and doesnt have a problem with it. Then again it all depends how its tuned and what not. Id tell your cousin to save his money and sell it before he goes too deep in the hole.

I was reading a article about the powerdyne superchargers, because I was considering one for my 97 Ram1500. I kept reading page after page of customer reviews and they were all negative reviews with a variety of problems. In the article people have had problems with the belt snapping, and the supercharger coming apart internally and damaging the engine. There were other problems that I can not remember, but after reading the article I will go another route to make power.

centrifugal blowers are awesome, just dont buy a powerdyne system. their superchargers are to put it bluntly.... pure shit. they break, ruin engines, cost a lot of money in the long run, dont make the same power the paxtons and vortechs make etc. pure junk.
