Powerdyne Project
Anyone running over 6 psi with a Powerdyne Supercharger on their Camaro SS? I was running 425 RWHP at 6 psi. I am having my BD-11A rebult by 928 Motorsports with the Super Powerdyne Rebuild. I am going to try to run between 8-10 psi. Let me know your Powerdyne experiences!

Hey BADDASS,I had Carl at 928 do the super rebuild on mine too. They do nice work there! You'll have to tell him what kind of boost you're looking for, because they can tweak them however you want. They did mine a couple years ago,Im making 6.7lbs with mine, but at that time I was completely stock, exhaust, intake and all.Just out of curiosity, what are your IAC temps? These things make alot of heat, thats my problem now,I need an intercooler or something soon!

Wow, you guys brought this back from the dead! When I was super charged, everything was fine except I could not make over 5 psi with my BD-11A. I got greedy, sent it to Carl at 928 and spent just over $1100 for the best of everything! They sent it back to my tuner/installer and he put it back in. The first time he tried to run 7 psi...snap, the belt broke! I had already spent so much money in shipping, install, the rebuild, tuning, and so on that I said uninstall everything and we are going Trick Flow 515! I still have my broken Powerdyne system in a cabinet in the garage! Thats my story!

Belts are cheap

It's the belt that's internal to the supercharger. The Powerdyne is belt-driven. You need to remove it, clean out all the debris from the shredded belt, replace it (they recommend replacing the bearings, too), reassamble the unit and reinstall it. Vortech and ATI centrifugal superchargers are gear-driven internally, which is more reliable.

What about procharger?
I guess I have some reading to do sounds like a cheap alternative that they used in making them, sort of like timing belts instead of timing chains.

The original idea behind the belt-drive was to be stealthy(no gear whine). Great idea, poor execution on Powerdynes part!!

440 RWHP / 410 TQ- 2000 SLP CAMARO SS
What do you want me to do with it? Its a big ass piece of shit paper weight! I was gonna buy a belt online and fix it myself, I just never got around to doing it. I paid $2000 for the used kit. $1000 to have it installed and dyno tuned. $1100 to have it rebuilt by 928 Motorsports. And another $1000 to have it reinstalled and retuned until it broke. So, what would you like me to do with it?
