    Powerdyne

Whats the word on performance and reliability of the Powerdyne Superchargers for LS1's? I have heard mixed reviews on them. Does anyone here have a Powerdyne Supercharger on an LS1? Pros and Cons to this type of supercharger?

Also, I've never tackled installing one of these before. If I payed to have it installed what would be a fair price for labor?

before i bought my procharger, i searched around and most of the info i found on it was negative. i would do a procharger or vortech. you can install it your self.
i installed mine and it was my first, then i paid someone to do my fuel system and tuning.

Powerdyne not so good. Lots of complaints when they first came out from LT1 guys. Don't now if they fixed anything as no one I know runs one anymore. If you're looking for power on the cheap don't overlook the STS rear mounted turbo system. Easy to install my buddies and damn does that thing rip crap up, but turns around and drives smooth too.

Haven't heard much on the good side on Powerdyne for the LS1 cars, probably better off with a Procharger or turbo.

Forget the Powerdyne...they are nothing but junk. I had one on my 2001 R/T Dakota before I picked up my 2002 CETA. The bearings burned out in it twice on me both times before they reached 2000 miles. Powerdyne rebuilt both times...what a joke. The kit was missing the idler pully & tensioner pully when I first received it from them & the MSD ignition shit the bed also before 2000 miles...maybe including MSD B-stock in the kits? Anyway you get what you pay for...don't make the mistake and buy one of those POS just to save the money...you will most likely regret it.
