Read through the sticky and didnt really find a firm consensus on whether or not to get forged internals when turbo or supercharging your ride. anyone wanna put in their 2 cents?

Give some more details. what are you planning on doing. turbo, procharger, how much boost you want to run? Most say you can run 8lbs and stay moderately safe.

I was gonna procharge mine this summer but decided to hold off because my motor has 90,000 miles on it. I'm gonna wait now and get a forged shortblock and build my motor to handle boost. If you plan on building your motor you might as well forge it.

well I don't have an fbody...yet. I'm waiting for spring to roll around to make a purchase but its gonna have no more than 90k on the clock, If it doesn't have it already I'm going full bolt-ons and ported LS6 heads with a mild streetable cam. Probably gonna procharge with no mroe than 10psi

Go with some 317 heads and it will make your combo more boost friendly. Don't forget the methanol injection.

The stock bottom end should live for a while as long you restrict boost to 7-8 psi & don't get greedy with the tune. Mine went a couple hundred pases before it expired one day in rather glorious fashion at about the 1000 ft mark.
