Good question, I'd like to know this as well. I wonder if eaton will make a similar kit aftermarket for the LS1? Shouldn't be that much more R&D to do that after the LS9, LSA, and LS8 work.

Since the ls9 is a IV generation engine like the l92 I would guess that you would need l92 heads in order to bolt a supercharger from an ls9 onto an ls1 because I know that you have to get the l76 intake when you put l92 heads on an ls1.

    ^Good point

I would also think it, like all other roots blowers, wouldn't fit under the fbody cowl. Vette's and GTO's would be a different story though.

Selah, You said roots blowers. I believe the eaton, whipple, and similar are called twin screw. BTW Magnuson makes a twin screw that will fit under our cowls w/ slight modification.

Roots and twin screw are basically the same, the difference is in the screws themselves. They Both sit on the engine the same way. And though Roots blowers are usually bigger, neither will fit under the fbody cowl without some modification. IMO it's just easier to get a centrifugal or turbo.

There is a Maggie for the fbody, but it's HUGELY expensive and you have to lower the engine to get it to fit under the cowl. Too much work just so you can say you have a Twin Screw Supercharger.

Procharger or turbo, other then that too much work for me. They can piss off with the roots/twin. I wish GM would have turboed the LS9 like the old 20th Annv. T/A. Can you say see-yah
