Thanks everyone. I'm pretty pumped this is coming to a close. I plan on being out there when it gets DYNO tuned and video taping. I'll be posting a video of that as well as well as the graph.

I'll be posting a lot more pics also when I get the car back in my hands.

Either way, there is no belt...

I think Bob forgot the belt as I am not a dealer for the aster tensioner.

I will call Bob tomorrow to get the answer.

    Further update.

Steve is on site now. Upon looking over the set-up, it was determined that the charge side piping places the MAF sensor too close to the throttle body to be able to use methanol injection. I am really starting to HATE this FMIC from ATI....

Therefore, every time you decelerate, methanol is going to be getting onto the MAF, which will eventually make the MAF go bad.

    Two solutions:

    1) fabricate and try to relocate the MAF further away from the throttle body. Most likely this will not be able to be completed as there is not enough room.

    2) go with speed density

I opted for SD. The only addition to make this work is getting a plug-n-play MAP sensor that gets installed.

On another note, the truck filter was able to be fitted with some modifications, but it sits WAY LOW. We are still working on trying to get this to work.

Car is being tuned tomorrow most likely when the MAP sensor gets in.

Although you have had some headaches, for a project of this magnitude it appears to be all working out. I agree with the decision to go SD as relocating the MAF in all that piping could really be an issue. It does need a fairly straight shot to be accurate too.

    Looking forward to more pics!

And this is why I opted for a professional to do the work It is working out, just costing me even more because of these hiccups.

The LS2 water pump needed for the Aster came with a standard thermostat so I also decided to go to a 160 thermostat as well to help keep temps down.

I have a lot more pics to post, but won't be able to until tonight when I get home and can access Photobucket.

Are you burning up some vacation time from work on this project?

No. I actually am just in constant contact with the builder from home. I thought the car was being tuned this upcoming Friday, but Steve is tuning it tomorrow so I won't have any video of a DYNO tune, unless Nate can provide that to me.

It's been A LOT of e-mails, texts, and phone calls over the last 6 months and even more-so since the install began.

    All-in-all, I think it's going well.

I just hope this truck air filter works out because with where it sits right now, there is no way I won't be hitting it going over speed bumps and such.

I know the feeling, every time you turn around there is some other little piece that just nickel and dimes you to death on these projects.

I had to modify my FMIC piping on the driver's side to let me get the truck hat to fit up high enough that it wouldn't be a problem hitting things. I still couldn't put the flashing back in place though on that side which really disappointed me.

Going SD is a good way to go, that way the PCM won't be blind on airflow at the upper RPM.

Things will all work out though by the end of this, and it seems like the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight for you.

If everything works as planned, I won't have any issue throwing out the extra coin. It is when it doesn't that makes it a little more tough to swallow.

As far as SD, I agree. I will have a lot crisper throttle response. Only thing here is that I'm depending on the O2's a lot more so I'll have to keep an eye on them in time to make sure they stay healthy. As this isn't my daily driver, I'm sure that won't be an issue for me.

Extra costs I didn't plan on:
    - fabricated piping for the charge side
    - MAP sensor
    - 160 thermostat
    - belt
    - adapter for one of the gauges
    - spark plugs (didn't think about this)
    - oil change (didn't think about this)
    - drive shaft safety loop fabrication (added this last minute)
    - fabricate/fix my cross-member for the BMR Trak Pak because it bottoms out going over bumps (added this last minute)
    - air filter assuming the truck filter does not work (the truck filter might have already been modified so I cannot return it I'm guessing)

SD is the only way to go with the meth and the boost.

Thanks for the updates and glad all is coming together.

I'll be posting pics of the truck filter fitment tonight. Maybe you can suggest something Mark because as of right now, it is sitting way too low. Unless someone wants me to send them the pics via e-mail and they can upload them for me. I won't be able to until about 5PM.
