    methanol and nitrous?

    is anyone, with a turbo, runnin methanol with their turbo and then runnin nitrous for faster spooling time on their turbo? does anyone know what kind of affect this would have or have you done it?

    I've never heard of someone stacking nitrous with meth. I'd imagine you'd lose the benefits of meth by gaining the benefits of the nitrous.

    The only thing methanol will do for you is supress detonation by lowering your inlet air temps.....but you get that from nitros.....I wouldn't see a need in it unless of course you were pushing serious boost and just using nitros to get you out of the hole.....

    The big advantage to meth is not just the cooling effect, it is the 120 octane. If you have a turbo do you really need the NOS. haha

    Not sure about the 120 octane but I think 110 is easily attainable......I have a Snow performance system on my turbo car and it does the job......you want a 50/50 mix with water.....I spoke with a tech at Snow performance and he was saying that 110 is pretty much what you'll get out of 93 octane.....

    haha prolly not, but i bet it would make for a good time, or a very bad one depending on what happened
