    Magnacharger on a 2000 TA

    So, I can get a magnacharger off of an lq9 incredibly cheap.
    Now I know a magnacharger setup requires cutting the cowl, and changing over the drives.
    I'm not even sure if this particular sc will fit an fbody
    Has anyone done this before, if so I would really appreciate some input

    I havent seen it done but... I think before I resort to cutting the cowl, I would look into adding spacers between the k-member and the frame. Unbolt the K-member and lower the motor. Install the blower just the blower and manifold. Then raise the k-member up till it is about .25 inch of touching the cowl. Measure the distance between the K-member and the frame. This is the size spacer you will need. You will also need longer bolts. Use nothing less than a grade 5 bolt and preferably a grade 8. I know its a lot of work to see if this will fit but its better than cutting the cowl. Let me know if you cant find specific spacers and I will whip them up.

    Not sure if it will work but before I would do the spacer idea, I would just buy an aftermarket K-member. They usually have a 1.25 inch drop compared to the stock

    Bolting to an ls1 or ls6 won't be an issue correct? I'm replacing my current engine with a crate longblock, so I was going to buy this supercharger and run 5-7psi on stock internals as to not void my warranty
