LQ4 Turbo Build Thread
No more Questions It's Build Time!!!
Alright guys I'm starting my first build thread.... After many questions I have been piecing stuff together!
This build is a factory rebuild on a LQ4 with ARP rod bolts... Planning on a MAX of 15psi with meth injection!...
Going for over 650rwhp behind a 4l80e and 9in Rear...

Right now my block is at a shop for cam bearing install because Iv already messed up a set!
TurboSmart Hypergate wastegate
"Brute Speed" Forced Induction Camshaft(EPP Blower Cam)
Running Clevite Main and Rod Bearings with Durabond Cam Bearings!!!
Next on the list...
- Patriot Performance Gold Dual Valve Springs!
- Pushrods and Lifters
- Full Gasket set with LS9 Headgaskets
- GT45R eBay Turbo
- Hot Side Tubing
- Intercooler and Turbing
- Fuel System

Nice start. I'm wanting to do pretty much the same build. So I'm subscribed to this thread to see how it comes along. What size turbo you plan on running? Good luck!

my block is at a shop to install cam bearings because I Screwed a set trying to DIY it. I just ordered Clevite Main/Rod bearings and will be ordering piston rings, lifters, springs, and pushrods soon i hope so i can get the engine put together and start my turbo setup and fueling!!!
these paychecks just arnt cutting it right now!!!

Cool cool, it takes some time. I feel ya about the paychecks. Thats whats keeping me from doing my turbo build too. I'll be able to start soon though.

Yes front mount and I'm thinking right where my coolant res. is or right in front of the water pump... Il be standing my radiator up for more room.
