well the belt is slipping and I am only getting 3 pounds of boost. The good news is that I made 100hp with just 3 pounds of boost. Not too bad, so i am ordering a new tensioner and a new belt to see if that will fix it. Any suggestions??

100 hp gain for 3lbs of boost??? Did you forget to mention that you sprayed a 50 shot too ??? Because that is impossible on boost alone.

Nope, I promise their was no spray added. The tuner was pretty impressed also. I mean I did not expect to see those kind of numbers either. Teh charge temp was kind of hot though at 3psi. I wish you guys could see the dyno sheet. I dont have anything to lie about I am just telling you guys what my car did.

I'll back him up. I was there. I saw the dyno. 3 lbs=100 ponies. For him anyways. We have one kick*ss tuner here in town. The problems are going to be intake temps. Without meth, or an intercooler I don't think he'll get the same results up at 6 lbs. With either one it'll be a whole new ball game. Easily capable of 500-520 rwhp.

Right now as best as I can recall; LT's full exhaust w/cutout, Plugs, Wires, Lid, and a couple other things that I can't be sure of. 340 to the ground on motor. Powerdyne, no intercooler, aftermarket push fans on the radiator and he's making 440. The belt was slipping on a 6 lb pulley so he was only getting 3 lbs. He's getting the pulley notched, a new tensioner and a meth kit and hoping for 500. Which I think he will get. No lies I've seen the dyno. Like I said, his intake charges hurt him right now, but will suck @ 6lbs without meth or the intercooler.

3lbs does not equal 100 rwhp. Powerdynes are lucky to see 10 rwhp per pound. Post a graph to help see if its slipping.

Then how do you explain 100 hp?? 10 lbs on a 6 lb pulley??

i dont believe the gauge. it really is impossible at even 100% compressor efficiency @ 3psi. Add to that the high intake temps which would only hurt the gain, and I think there's something else going on. It just doesn't add up.
Although, 6psi @15hp per psi (very, very rare to be that efficient) = 90hp..thats more like it.

    Was there belt dust everywhere?

I am going to try to post the sheet today. It will have the hp and boost readings on it. And I found out that belt was not slipping, one of the techs found a pinched line on the vacumm side which was not allowing the valve to close all the way. We fixed that and now it is reading 6psi. However, the gauge on the dyno machine read 3psi when I dynoed it. I know it is hard to believe but I guess you all will have a different opinion when you see the sheet.
