Fuel Quality, maybe?
Questions about fuel, I think
I have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD with a 6.0 LQ4 and a ProCharger supercharger, Black Bear EFI Live Tune, 8.1 injectors and copper plugs. My truck has 155,000 miles on it, I just had an oil analysis done and it is fine, trace of fuel and only slightly elevated levels of aluminum and iron most likely caused by the notorious piston slap that my truck has in spades. I have run Mobil 1, 10W-30 for the last 153,000 miles.
My truck runs great but when waiting at a light at idle or warming up sometimes it will miss, drop 100-200 rpm then go right back to idling normally. This is not so noticeable when it was colder but here in Ohio we are enjoying a mid winter thaw and the issue is becoming more noticeable. The engine does not die and no codes. Had the plugs and fuel filter replaced about a month ago.
I try to run Shell 93 but have been getting Kroger and Speedway occasionally this winter. I was adding the two stroke oil to the fuel but have only done it a few times as it has been WTFC to try to put that stuff in.
Do you think this is a fuel quality issue, water, need to put the two stroke stuff in, something else?
Thanks

Assuming the fuel and air filters are clean. It could be the gas try running some heat in it just to be sure there is no water. I have heard black bear is great but if the other stuff checks out maybe the tune needs tweaked. Do you still have cats? they could be plugged really the list goes on and on.
