'Fuel pump...you running one or two for FI?

I've been running one Walbro for my set up front mount 8psi.
Was told I should run 2 as there's a fuel pressure drop with just one.
Anyone with this experience? and what are you running 1 or 2?

+1 on the 2 intank Racetronix pumps with a hobbs switch. on 1 pump you may experiance some pressure drop at higher rpms.

I run two and regularly set up these systems as such.

We sell a Hobbs switch without the exposed terminals... a nice weather tight connector. Here is our list of Hobbs switches and accessories:

It lets you run a single pump until you go into boost and then it switches on the second pump.

So at what point is 2 pumps necessary? I am running 8# at 480rwhp. I do not notice my pump flinch once.

I'm running a single Mallory pump

It's 160 GPH and driven by two Hobbs switches and a PWM controller, giving 3 speeds of operation "idle/light cruise," "power enrichment," and "break something."

    I chose this type because:
    1. It's external. I dislike in-tank pumps.
    2. It's a gearotor type, quieter and more reliable than vane or turbine pumps. Completely rebuildable.
    3. It does not use the fuel for cooling itself, saving your octane for the motor to use.

It just turns on the relay to power (or ground) the second pump. You hook up a vacuum line to the other side to let it 'see' boost.
