Few pics of the turbo install
Sorry some pics turned out crappy
This is where the turbo sits.
Just a few pipes
Turbo
The hole I cut out behind the bird for better airflow for the intercooler, my dremel died so I didn't get to finish cleaning it up.

what kit is that? it looks a bit like the hi-flo kit but that ovaled piping does not.
That downpipe and crossover are close to steering stuff, I would wrap everylast bit of those hot pipes up if it were mine.

Kit is from HP Performance. All the hot pipes have been jet-hot coated so the heat is minimum. I thought the same thing but after I drove it for hours it wasn't that hot but I am still going to wrap it up in a few places just to play it safe.
Thanks, I can't hit full boost, I need a new 2 bar map sensor, so for now I just putt-putt- around.

How do route the oil for the turbo? Is there a scavenge pump with the kit or is it high enough for gravity to scavenge the oil. If its just gravity Id watch it. Check the exhaust for oil after a couple long hard pulls. I work on small airplanes and about 3 out of 4 turbo failures are oil related. Also, do you have to adjust your timing curve under boost? Just curious. That kit looks sick tho

black- 1998 Trans Am
when did you get the kit? they told me that they're not making an ls1 kit right now

I got it a few months ago, I was the 2nd kit they made and they didn't have any instructions with it and they screwed up what parts to ship, so it took a few months of calling and telling them the parts I needed but eventually everything got worked out, but I had to install the entire thing without instructions and fabricate alot of other things to make everything fit.
