    Buying Turbo firebird

Going to look at a twin Turbo 99 firebird formula tonight. Was looking to buy a stock one but this deal seems too good to pass up. My concern is that the seller installed the turbo and has been running it on stock injectors, map and pump. He wrote the following to me:
"Needs some work like swapping injectors fuel pump and map, needs a tune . It comes with bigger injectors pump and 2 bar map .I stopped after putting the turbo kit on. As of now it's a 100% stock car with the turbo kit on it. Runs and drives great like a stock car go any where , just can't go into boost yet. "
Granted it runs as it should what should I look for as far potential problems?

    Thanks for the help

a few questions there for me.......who does all the work of putting the turbo on but stops at the easiest parts? It also drives fine like it is.....who puts a turbo on without injectors, map, and pump and then drives it? What are the odds that car's been in boost without being properly set up? I'd say pretty good. I could be wrong and the guy could be 100% in the good......I would just be very cautious going into that deal and if you don't have to knowledge yourself then have someone else that knows what to look for go over that car and the install with a fine toothed comb.

Well I looked at the car last night and the story of why it wasn't finished made more sense. We ended up coming to an agreement on the car without the turbo. He had the exhaust dumping out of the turbos ahead of the front wheels which won't pass inspection in Maine and I don't have the time to run the pipes back right now. So I'm buying the car in Stock form.

    Congrats!

That story sounded awful strange... I'd really have to take a hard look at a partially built car, especially a turbo setup. Are you getting all the parts?
