Went to the range

Just got home from the range. First time ever shooting a hand gun and think I did ok. Shot from 10yds and 15 then few all way to the wall. Sarge looks like I'll be talking to you picking your brain about some firearms. Shot the Springfield XD compact 9mm pistol. I just might turn in to a young Sarge... REALLY YOUNG Sarge.

I have two XD 40's and love them. Easy as hell to break down and assemble. I didn't really care for the XDM's though, grips didn't appeal to me but most guys rave about them.

I prefer my xdm grip over the xd, but you can actually change the backstrap on them if you don't like the feel of it.

I have the XD 45 and the XDm 9 and like the Xd45 better.

I know...I had every intention of buying an XDM after my first XD. Just didn't like the way the gun felt in my hand when I was looking at them.

I love the way it feel's, I guess that's because I used the shitty m9 beretta's with the military for so long lol.

I agree. For some reason the XDm just feels like more of a "toy" to me than the reg XD.

I went to the range yesterday. Made 722 .40round with different powders and slugs. Shot aout 400. The guy next to me had a xd40 with a strobe light and laser sight and kimber desert warrior .45. He let me keep his shells and shoot his guns. I liked the xd40 but i do prefer my xdm 40. He shot my gun and seemed to like it but it was hard to talk since the range was full.

Also got my .22 scope sighted in..... then the bracket came loose and the scope was off again.

Yea that is how I am I have not actually shot the xd so I can't actually say which on I like better, but I do love the feel of it, the weight of it. And the weapon itself actually counter balances itself really well so the recoil is not that bad.
