Springfield XD Subcompact Mod2
Held one of these in my hands last week and REALLY liked it...plus its a double stack which is really rare for this size gun. Thinking this will be my next purchase. Only decision I have to make is whether or not I want to wait for the 45acp model to be released or just get a 9mm since its so small.
XD Mod.2 Sub-Compact 9MM Handgun with GripZone Grip Texture
Here's a picture of how it looks with the extended mag it comes with as well.

As much as I love .45acp in guns like this I tend to like 9mm more. Another Springfield gun to add to the list of guns I want.

.45 acp is a little too big for a small gum to handle in my opinion. I wish they had this gun in a .40 but 9mm will do the trick. Nice look, I would love to shoot one.

I like .40 but .45acp is an awesome round too. To me, nothing feels better than a .45acp coming out of a full size 1911. I have about 20,000 rounds through my XDM .40 so I do like .40 cal.

I feel the same way. While I do have a .40 cal S&W with a 14 round clip I really enjoy shooting my Colt 1911 XSE more than anything. It's just the balance of the gun in my hand and the ease in which the round is fired and the enjoyment of the power of the weapon. It's the WOW factor I guess.

Yea it has a lot to do with the 1911 shape and weight. I prefer the steel frame 1911s over the alum any day in full size. The narrow grip and the way the single action trigger feels especially on a nicely tuned one is amazing to me.
But when it comes to wow factor I shoot my .44 mag with hot hand loads. When I let people shoot these loads out of that gun I love to watch their faces. Pretty much anytime I shoot in an indoor range it draws a crowd as people can feel the compression of the shots even with half walls separating us. And they can see the fireball even though they can't see the barrel when standing in the stall next to me. That's a 240 grain slug moving at almost 1600fps. I also do a 180 grain slug that is said to be moving at 1800+fps but that doesn't have quite the force the 240 grains do. You don't feel it in your hand quite as much.Last edited by Zinergy; 08-04-2015 at 06:42 AM.

This mod2 looks nice except for the "grip zone" written on it. I have an XD45 and an XDs45 so yes I do like Springfields. Maybe you could stiple the grip so grip zone wasn't legible. Lol. I like the fiber optic front sight.

Like I said it's otherwise a nice looking gun. One thing I don't like about Springfields are the shiny steel mags. I Duracoated all mine flat black.
