If those other companies were so awesome they would design their own rifles instead of copying colts. Read also 1911.

I still need optics as well. Something always comes up, or I buy another gun, or optic for a gun I actually hunt with.

Yea... usually 1g for optic and magnifier. You can always buy the optic now and the mag later on.
