Remington 870 without a doubt, Looking to getting the 12 gauge super mag in the combo package myself. The way I see it thousands of law enforcement agencies can't be wrong.

I just bought a supermag 870 for 319.99. I saw a 870 pistol grip 18inch barrel with the pointy edge on the end with a 3 shot extension for 359.99 at a local shop. I was really tempted to buy it except i already had a short barrel pump 12 guage and was looking fo something with a 28 inch barrel.

You can buy several different Benelli's at or under your price range. I just looked at Bud's Gun Shop online. BENELLI NOVA 12 28 SYN $379. Magazine Capacity: 4+1 Chokes: IC,M,F Type of Sights:Red bar front sight and metal bead mid sight. And you would walk home with $121 still in your pocket.

Both are great shotguns and have a vast after-market. It all boils down to aesthetics. I am a Mossberg fan, and I own a 590-A1 Tactical. I have shot my friends 871 Wingmaster and 871 Express. They're well built shotguns. I, however, would never own a Remington.

I have owned the both. I had a 870 Police Magnum and traded it for a Mossberg 590a1, why?
Because I am left handed and the safety is very un-friendly for lefties and that is the only reason. The 870 is a better built higher quaility shottie imo.
Having said that I think the 590 is about 90% as good as an 870P, I like the Higher cap and bayonet lug on the 590 also.

What are you going to do with it?
Savage has a new home defense style 12 out that is pretty decently priced and feels solid. It has a coating on it sort of like that of being parkerized. Not sure what you can swap out though as far as the stocks.

Cause what you need is a bayonet lug on a shotgun .........
Do they call it the Mall Ninja?

I've got an 870P that I'm very happy with. The Mossberg 500/590 are nice for the price also. Whichever you like best should be fine.

I'm going to assume your referencing my post.
Do I need a Bayonet on a 8+1 12ga? Hmmn..
Do I need 12 rd mags for my 229 Elite
Do I need 75 rd drums or 30 or 20 rd mags for that matter.
Maybe not but then again some zombies die harder than others.
Plus imagine this. You awake to find a gang of yutes in your house you grab your trusty 12ga fire and hit the first one. Then the tribal instinct kicks in and all yutes make a charge in this CQC duel. You hit the second one but the third one reaches for your barrel you pull back and thrust your bayonet into their abdomen while chambering another round and ending the threat and making America a better place. That is unless your a chicken fucker from Kansas who doesn't believe in bayonets which in that case you grab your cousin/wife hop out the window and hide in a pile of corn.
