    Ordering Ammo

    Anyone order ammo online?
If so what is the cheapest place to get good name brand stuff?
I am wanting to buy a box of 50 at a time.

Whatever you do, do NOT order from "ammoman" in NJ. I won't go into the horror story, but if you do a search on the guy, you'll find multiple complaints.

I've bought through J&G and was satisfied. One caveat, with whomever you purchase through: everything will ship overnight (I guess because shippers don't want ammunition hanging around their transit centers), and you must be present for delivery - adult signature required.

I've ordered several times from ATG for SD pistol and shotgun ammo. I also order from Widener's for 5.56/.223 and .308 Prvi Partisan rifle ammo. I occasionally order pistol range ammo from both when I can't find any WWB at Walmart.

Some of us don't have the same Walmart benefit you guys have. I've gone to Walmart about 5-6 times in the last year and not found .40. I only go if I have to get several things since the closest one is about a 45 minute drive, if I go just for ammo and they don't have it I'm pissed. Most times if I drive past Walmart I stop to check for ammo, I've just about given up.

I use ammunitiontogo.com last purchase was $300 for 1000 rounds of Speer Lawman .40 (I think 165 grain) that's better than what the empty shelf at Walmart says it would cost once you consider tax and it comes right to my door.

    AmmoMan can suck my balls.
I have ordered tons of ammo and have never had to be here to sign nor has any of it ever been overnighted.

Biggest problem that you are going to have is age, I assume you are talking about pistol ammo by the round count. Honestly instead of paying shipping each time you want 50 rounds just save up and get 250 or 500 at a time

    That's two votes that he's a crook!

hmmm? I've always had to sign for it. Interesting. It's always been either FedEx or UPS. Same with firearms - overnight, adult signature required.

    Yea its handgun ammo.

I never had a problem with it being 19, I look older for my age and never been IDed in the stores. Both of my parents know about it and are ok, I have their consent, hell I go shooting with my dad all the time now.

But yea I think ima save a little more and just order like 500 eventually.
seems like the places online are about the same price as stores when I find em (50 count boxes)

Well firearms can only be delivered to a FFL and a adult signature is required at the FFL location for a firearm....but Ammo....nope....they just leave it at the door and haul ass.

Buy your ammo out of state and online and there are no taxes.

it is more expensive, but also, I hardly ever see it for sale. If I do they have like 1 or 2 boxes, and no variety.

Ill tell ya what else it getting hard to find around her, is .357 mag and even .38 special. Two very popular calibers and I cant find any right now, except hollow points. Those are to damn expensive.

Seems like they have plenty of 9mm and .40 cal in these days, even seeing some .380 now. I think the ammo shortage is coming to an end, unless Obama starts with some gun talk, we should be ok in 4-6 months or so.
