Improved my accuracy overnight
Well, I was itching to shoot more, and i decided to waste the 100 rounds which i had laying around
Thanks to advice from you guys and others, I was able to figure out that, my problem was 1- recoil anticipation, 2- too much trigger. Ignored the recoil, took easy on the trigger and it was a winner.
Here are my shots. all 25ft. 2 magazines to each circle. Ammo Winchester 165gr .40 Cal Full Metal Jacket.
Target is "GLOCK 2011 CALENDAR"
By the way, I was aiming to create a group instead of aiming to a certain area. I would shoot my first bullet to an empty area, and then target that.
I am pretty happy with the outcome.
Thanks again!Last edited by Musclefan21; 06-16-2011 at 05:56 PM.

Good improvement. To get some ideas for drills/training check out pistol-training.com.

nice job OP! as you get more confident you can try all kinds of drills to add realism/training. assuming you can't draw from the holster and shoot there, you can still practice gettting the shot off quickly from the ready position to full extension - the key is to "take the slack out of the trigger" so that the round goes off as you hit full extension and your front site is on target. good drill.

...and exhale when ya fire..
Also the two high taps to the right chest are lung shots. They'd go down on those too..
If not you'd prolly catch the intestines with the slightly lower one.. Slow death..
But seeing as how you've pretty much removed his head. Tango down!Last edited by Smittro; 06-16-2011 at 10:46 PM.

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast, breathing control/ trigger pull/ follow up shot, you can take all the time in the world to make those shots so close but how fast can you shoot to get them that close. Its called muscle reflex and practice the more you do it the better you get /thread.

Nice shooting. Push yourself with speed drills at the beginning of your range session. Slow is slow and fast is fast. Work on ultimate accuracy when you're a little fatigued, the extra concentration it requires towards the end of your range session will make you that much better when you're fresh.

Another thing that people tend to do is grip the gun too tightly with the strong hand. This can cause you to pull the pistol low and left if you are right handed.
