I'm down at the feed store here in our lil town. Free coffee and doughnuts ....sorta the redneck town hall meeting place if you know what I mean on Saturdays....anyway we are at the gun counter....a young lady walks in...has a new in the box Ruger Vaquero .357. Polished stainless.Wants to sell it on consignment. Of course all us old farts are there and we are all experts in our own minds, she is young, got lil perky type titties and all so we all want to help....
She tells us it is her husbands and they are broke and they need the money....never been fired...never been taken out of the box...he got it as a gift for Christmas and they cannot afford .357 shells.....
So I look at it......being the senior member of the "full of shit old man at the gun counter on Saturday morning club" and all.....I tell her it is a single action and I could buy it brand new from Buds Gun Shop for about $300 bucks....
She tells me her Father in Law told them it was worth $500 bucks.....oh hell no sez I....So I tell her I would give her $250 as that all a used Ruger Vaq is worth. So she sez OK....cuz we are all smart old guys at the gun counter on Saturday morning and all.....I give her $250 cash and come home.

Sum bitch is nice as hell. Polished Stainless will blind you it is so shiny....I haven't had a "Cowboy Action" revolver since I was a kid.....got them shiny black pearl grips....I do feel bad....I fucked up....but she sold it so what the heck.

I had a pawn shop guy try to rip me off recently. wanted to sell o gun of mine...they were going for 250-300 on gun broker. I checked that day.

I got to the pawn shop, wanting 175, he said no go, and actually stated that they were only going for that on gun broker. and he could only go 100. I guess he didnt think I would have checked gunbroker...asshole.

I walked out and sold it for 250 on gunbroker, lol

Sorry man, but the story reminded me of a guy I worked with who talked a retarded man, whose dad died, out of a Brush Hog for peanuts. The remaining family tried to get it back but the coworker said a deal is a deal. I dunno, I just thought it was low rent.

No you missed my point....I really thought they were only going for $350'ish and did not find out until I got home and looked it up. I wasnt trying to rip her off but I had bad info stored in my old malfunctioning brain.
