Just saw it listed in a magazine I was flipping through in the store today. Apparently Magnum Research has decided to start making Desert Eagle 1911's.

Never seen one in person, but it doesn't look all that impressive. Although the price is almost attractive, compared to their other products. I still wonder though...how does it stack up against the big names in 1911's? (Colt, Kimber, Springfield, etc). Anybody gotten hands on with one of these yet?

I guess that's why they stamped DESERT EAGLE in billboard sized letters on the slide.

Doesn't say who actually manufactures it on their website, I would guess it's another Filipino clone, not that there is anything wrong with that. Those are some big ass rollmarks.

I would guess it'd be IMI or as the American company is known, Magnum Research. It looks good except for the roll marks
