Effort to Drop Charges against Marine Carrying in NYC..
..i.e. "bloombergia"... where gov't knows best, and inmates run the asylum...

Ryan Jerome was arrested and charged with felony gun possession in September during a visit to New York, after unknowingly violating the state’s tough gun laws. As charges pend against the Indiana resident, real-life criminals are permitted to sell illegal weapons to the city for cash, no questions asked, through a taxpayer-funded program.
Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, whose office is prosecuting Jerome, proudly promotes the “buyback” initiative.

It's funny how they refuse to accept that the SCOTUS has ruled that it is unconstitutional for an outright ban. (Washington DC & Chicago cases)

I heard recently that the city of New York is going to begin charging a fee per gun for residents who have registered guns within city limits. Of course ciminals with non registered illiegal guns will not be taxed, instead they are paid money for when they want to sell them and move on to a new gun.
