Mossberg 500 has been a really popular shotgun for a really long time. That's all I really know about them.

but i will say that if you are looking to shoot trap... try to find a game specific shotgun in your price range

I always wanted one of these, With its 8 pound 10 ounce weight and a thick vented recoil pad this ported 30" trap gun can shoot all day - comfortably.

    HA1030 Browning Cynergy Classic Trap, O/U, Adjustable-Comb, 12 Ga. 2 3/4", 30"MC Ported Bbls.,

love those classic cynergy shotguns... not too crazy about the wild recoil pad on the standard cynergy

Go to Walmart and buy their Mossberg Maverick 88. Like $177 I think. Just like this one.

Check em out on ANY gun forum. It's basically the same thing as the 500 but with a different safety and some other minor differences. Your money.

That's a great price ! Wish the WalMart's in my area sold guns. I have the adjustable accu-choke on both my models & I like the way they perform
