    Windows Update

    I have Vista/ Office 2007.
I already have Office 2007 SP2. Have for awhile.
Update keeps trying to download 200+Mgb SP2 again.
Keeps trying to update Office 2007 Power Point Security Update also.
Both crash bang boom. Searching on the net tells me M$ has a corrupt installer and they want you to uninstall all your stuff and reinstall it with all these manually inserted patches.
I got a better idea. I told update to hide the updates.
So M$ sez their security is the bomb cuz they have auto update and they cannot even release a tested and verified installer?
    What a bunch of clowns.

I have a couple of things that won't install either when I update. When new updates come in I just uncheck the ones that don't work and install the rest.

Get the Win 7 RC. It's stable and blows Vista out of the water.
They key code you get is good until June 1st, 2010 at which time you have to purchase the retail version.

a bad bit of compiled code in a installer makes vista insecure ? The fact that m$ publicly annouces these problems and fixes them in a very quick manner tells you that indeed M$ is very security based now and that vistas out of the box is more secure then any o/s and that it focuses on security soo much..that people get pissed at it ..says its very secure.
i wouldnt call the coders/programmers clowns considering the immense knowledge they have and the knowledge database they use is better then any other companies speaks volumes ...programs have bugs in them..every program does..XPs installer had this same issue a long while ago.

i love auto update...they fix security holes in their code every week pretty much..that is impressive that they are finding those holes

sorry sarge if i came off as a prick..that wasnt my intentions btw in my class two semesters ago we spend alot of time going over M$s new policies involving security..and its actually pretty cool..there are over 6 stages the software goes through involving security and stability and they pick that code apart.
